ACTOM Mechanical Equipment has its roots in the fan industry, but has diversified with other anti-vibration solutions.  We specialise in the design, manufacture and distribution to HVAC, mining, industrial and domestic markets.

Mechanical Equipment is a grouping of six focussed business units. These businesses are treated as independently operating business units and the six managers have their fair degree of autonomy, and are judged on the achievement of their units.

Mechanical Equipment has more than 50 years history in working with its technology partner Flaktwoods and has completed hundreds of substantial ventilation projects  in the building industry and mines.

The company has decades worth of experience in working with technology partners and running agencies being, Applied Energy (Xpelair and Redring), Flaktwoods for fan products and Trellerborg     and Silentbloc for anti-vibration solutions. Applied Energy has traded their Xpelair & Redring brands through ACTOM very successfully since the early 1970's.

ACTOM Mechanical Equipment has a manufacturing facility situated in Driehoek, Germiston geared for the fabrication and assembly of a wide variety of fans and ancillaries, built in accordance with ISO 9001 quality system.

New products launched recently in South Africa includes new additions to the GX type of fans, models includes GX6GS2, GX9ES and GX9GS.
